Whinlatter Forest has everything you need for a day of fresh air and impressive scenery. With a car park that’s open until 8.30 pm and a range of varied paths, you can stroll or cycle to your heart’s content. But what else can you find at Whinlatter?
How to get to Whinlatter Forest
Whinlatter Forest is very easy to get to from Seacote Caravan Park. You can follow either the B503 or the A595, heading towards Whinlatter Pass. The journey should take approximately 50 to 55 minutes, depending on traffic.
Alternatively, if you’re visiting the town of Keswick first, you can take the A66 west towards Cockermouth, turn west onto the B5292 at Braithwaite village, and then head towards the Whinlatter Visitor Centre signposts for around three miles.
In the summer, you can also hop on the number 77 or 77A bus from Keswick to Whinlatter Forest.
